Over the course of this semester, I have learned so much about Web 2.0 tools, English Language Learners, How to record a Screencast and so much more. Starting with the Universal Learning Design, understanding how representation, action and expression and engagement work helps in the ability to design lessons that are appropriate for our students. I also have never taken part in blogging. It has been very interesting to engage in collaboration in this way. Blogging is very beneficial and this carries over into my classroom now.
Having the ability to explore different tools has been the best part of my Instructional Technology journey thus far. Not to mention how many of these tools I have been able to utilize this year with my students. I can feel my instruction gaining favor from my students. I am only in year three but the skills I am learning in this program are definitely shining through and making an impact.
I also had the ability to really engage with my ELL community of students. This field experience was very meaningful. I really studied the impact our math groups are having on these students and was able to apply new skills to enhance their learning outcomes due to this module.
Overall, I am very impressed with the knowledge I have acquired through this course. I appreciate this journey. I know I still have lots of learning to do but this has given me the framework to apply my skills as an Instructional Technology Coach in the classroom setting. Which is where it all begins!
